halFILE is a robust, scalable Document and Imaging Management System providing scan, index, archive, search and e-mail functions. A COLD (Text File Support) option is available to integrate computer-generated output with other images and documents. Flexible yet powerful database support is the key to the system where user-definable key-word indexes are built through data entry, bar codes or data extraction from external databases. These key words are stored in an ODBC-compliant database. Documents can be captured from scanner, disk, text files, a “print to halFILE” printer driver, fax, e-mail, or other applications such as Word or Excel. halFILE is installed at over 300 sites across the country in a variety of organizations including government, medical, insurance and financial. hal Systems Corporation has been providing solutions for over 26 years and imaging solutions for the past 11 years.
