AnyDoc Software's award-winning OCR for AnyDoc™ automates document and data capture from any form and invoice. The software reads machine print, hand print, bar codes and check boxes from scanned/faxed images. First the system detects, identifies and routes the data image to the proper PC station, eliminating time-consuming manual sorting. Next, it performs dynamic form removal, locating pre-defined fields, removing pre-printed lines and boxes, and extracting the desired data. OCR for AnyDoc enhances the image, regenerates poorly formed or lightly printed characters, and forwards clean images to the recognition engines. Through a series of pre- and post-processing rules, questionable entries can be validated, corrected and captured automatically. OCR for AnyDoc can perform mathematical calculations and define business rules without the need for scripting. For more difficult forms, OCR for AnyDoc harnesses the power of VBScript to bypass expensive customization. Once extracted, the data is passed to a verification operator to validate questionable characters before entry into the database. Remote scanning with AnyDoc CAPTUREit™ allows forms and invoices to be scanned into OCR for AnyDoc from any offsite location via the Internet. Using OCR for AnyDoc's remote verification capabilities, businesses can check and verify questionable characters over the Internet from any location, saving money and offering greater staffing flexibility. Operator verification replaces manual data entry, which can reduce input costs and provide up to 99.9% accuracy.

Color Capabilities:
AnyDoc Software's award-winning OCR for AnyDoc™ retains all color images produced by Fujitsu scanners. OCR for AnyDoc then enhances the scanned image, improving both character recognition and form identification. It performs complete machine print, handprint, bar codes and mark sense recognition and detects, identifies and routes the data image to the proper PC station. While a bi-tonal image is used in the OCR process for maximum accuracy, the color image is retained for verification, storage and look up, through our AnyDoc BROKERit™ software or other image storage and retrieval systems.

Color Technology Application:
AnyDoc Software's OCR for AnyDoc's end users benefit from color technologies to retain the data in the proper context. For example, some of our customers use color processing for the Healthcare Financial Application (HCFA). If the image was processed with the red borders dropped, the data would appear floating on a blank background. Because a full-color image is retained, the form can be viewed in the correct context.
